Care guide

Look after your kit and it looks after you. Here is how to care for your HUNDRED gloves and garments.

GOALKEEPER GLOVES

  • Pre-wash your gloves and let them dry naturally before the first use. This gives you the best grip from the start.
  • Damp the palms with water during use for the best grip and durability.
  • Wash them after every session, rather than letting the latex dry out.
  • Wash by hand in warm water, under 30 degrees, with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
  • Rinse thoroughly, squeeze out excess water and pat dry with a towel.
  • Dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and any heat source.

Never dry your gloves on a radiator, in front of a fire, in a tumble dryer, with a hairdryer, with an iron, or in an airing cupboard. All of these dry the latex out and make it brittle, which affects grip and durability.

Some models arrive with a plastic protective film on the palm, which keeps the latex fresh in transit and needs removing before use. Check your product page for details, and see our guide to removing the protective film.

CLOTHING AND BASE LAYERS

This covers Essential training kit, Core Skin and Protekt.

  • Turn the garment inside out before machine washing in cold water with similar colours.
  • Use detergent for washing.
  • Avoid wringing out excess water.
  • Air dry, or tumble dry on low heat. High heat can cause static cling.
  • Do not use bleach, dryer sheets or fabric softener.
  • Avoid dry cleaning.
  • If needed, iron on a cool setting, taking care to protect any logos or designs.
